Finding the way forward

Development processes in the sphere of ownership should never be underestimated. Old assumptions held dear may be placed in question. Personal patterns of success may suddenly be up for discussion. And the feeling of insecurity can be high for those concerned, if only temporarily. It is therefore imperative that all the people involved trust one another and that the formulation of various goals and mandates be clear and intelligible. Personal dealings within the sphere of ownership will have to be given a complete rethink. Grown-up children, for example, become respected owners in their own right, partners to be addressed as equals.

It is my aim to find sustainable solutions for the owners. Needless to say, a Plan B will always be part of the deliberations. The first phase usually takes place exclusively within the confines of the owner family or families. For the actual implementation phase, at a later date, we can draw on the advice and expertise of the board of directors, the management board and any other specialists required.
